"Extract ROM archive before running" by Retroarch core.

Hi! I've got a "problem with Launchbox" loading roms from different Retroarch cores:

Examples:
- Sega Dreamcast (Flycast): 4 Wheel Thunder (Europe) (En,Fr).zip
- Nintendo DS (DesMemu): Electroplankton (J)(Trashman).7z

What happens is that if I want to load the Flycast roms I need to check the "Extract ROM archive before running" to Retroarch emulator, otherwise it doesn't load them. It has ".gdi" and ".bin" files inside the .zip.
But when I try to load DesMemu roms the opposite happens, I can't load DesMemu games without first unchecking the option "Extract ROM archive before running" for all Retroarch emulator. It has ".nds", ".png's", ".nfo" files inside the .7z.

Any ideas on how to get around the problem?

It would be awesome if the option "Extract ROM archive before running" could be used per Retroarch core.

Thank you very much in advance.

Don't keep your roms compressed, it will save a lot of headaches like this.

Thats just really bad to have non rom files inside the archive, that really is asking for trouble. Launchbox itself is file agnostic and has no built in database of what files a emulator supports, it has no way of knowing which file from inside of a archive is the correct one to pick and pass to the emulator.

Easiest way around this is to add another Retroarch emulator entry, just call it Retroarch 2 or something and point Launchbox to the same .exe you already use, and specify the different options for this entry. Then just tell the appropriate platforms to use that emulator instead.

There is also this plugin you could try.
