scottishdad
Apologies for posting this again. It seems like a topic that won't die. I've tried everything I can find on the forums and so far, no luck. Situation is this: I use a stand-up arcade cabinet with BigBox. Most emulators are run via retroarch using the buttons on the arcade machine. When a system has a more complex controller set-up e.g. N64, I use a native emulator, in this case Project64. In Launchbox, quitting Project64 works fine. I have clicking in the thumbsticks set-up to do this. When I use BigBox this method no longer works and I need to leave a keyboard next to the arcade machine to allow me to quit using the ESC key. Ideally I'd like to use the same method for quitting in Bib Box as in Launchbox, but I'd settle for any workable solution. Any help is much appreciated - I will follow up on any advice (including the hopefully successful fix) so that there can hopefully be a definitive solution to this. All of the discussions I can find are never closed out so it's never clear whether a given approach actually worked for the OP. Thanks in advance. Bigbox has its own mapping settings, you need to map something to "close active window" there.
scottishdad
Perfect. In Bigbox: Options-> controller mappings-> close active window I can confirm that this works. Thank you. It's also worth noting that Options-> controller mappings-> exit isn't the same thing!!! This will exit Bigbox, but has no effect when an emulator is running. . . which seems obvious in retrospect. ?
