Akean
Has anyone been able to run Big Box Android on the Shield Portable, it has Android 5.1 and the .apk installs but when I open it I get "An unexpected error occurred while trying to request the necessary permissions:" with a bunch of stuff following after I click OK it just hangs on the loading screen forever. Has anyone been able to get it to work on the Portable?

Has anyone been able to get it to work on the Portable? I have not tried with the portable, but we did just fix a number of issues with the Shield in a new release on Friday. So make sure you're installing the latest version, version 0.37. If not, you can go download the updated version via the website. If you would let me know if that fixes it, I'd appreciate it. It doesn't sound like Android 5.1 is really the right version of Android though (I believe that was before Android TV even came out). Akean
Thanks for the response! This is what I have downloaded the 0.37 is the one that won’t load and the beta file won’t install. Also here is the settings screen with the Android version.
Akean
Also here are the errors that it throws out, hopefully it helps and sorry for the low tech screen caps!
Jason Carr
Thanks @Akean. It turns out that device is a lot older than I thought, so it probably is running that ancient version of Android. I will admit that getting LaunchBox to run on that device will be difficult and might not happen, because it's so old and the hardware specs are so low. I have it on the list though.
