alizteya
Hi all, Relatively new to the scene here, so go easy. I’ve been having the following issue: I’m booting up KOF2002 in MAME 0.211B (using the command line to launch the game with Japanese bios - if you know, you know 😉). That command is “-bios japan” and works fine. But trying to quit out of the game using my controller mapping for ‘close active window’ (set to the xbox centre button, which works on every other game) does nothing. If i remove the command line, it works fine. Same applies to other games when I do try using the command line to boot to a bios. If i remap the button to another button, Left Trigger for example, the issue persists. The issue also persists if I try booting to another bios, such as “-bios euro”. This is happening in both big box and normal mode. I’m running Launchbox 11.17 by the way. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is this a bug, or am i missing something? Thanks in advance for your help. Edited September 18, 2021 by alizteya
JoeViking245
10 hours ago, alizteya said: works on every other game Assuming you're using MAME 0.211B for every other game, and in your MAME emulator settings, the Default Command-Line Parameters: is -keyboardprovider dinput your Use Custom Command-Line Parameters: for kof2002 should be -keyboardprovider dinput -bios japan The Custom parameter(s) completely override the Default. So you need to add in the keyboardprovider part.
alizteya
Thank you so much! This fixed it perfectly. Appreciate you taking the time, and i’ll know to check for the default command line before messing with this for emulators in future
