Settings not accessible on nvidia shield

So id like to change the look of launchbox on my nvidea shield, but you can't get to the 3 dots with the controller or remote. Anyone have an idea on how to do this?

I think it's Y on the controller.

I use a PS4 controller with my Shield. Its the left bumper for left of screen and right bumper for right

I am using 8bitdo gamepads, and the L/R triggers seem to open up the options on either the L/R side of the screens no problem.

You can also use the Shield remote app on your phone to mouse if all else fails.
