ademline
Hello there. my operating system is win 8 pro but I cannot install framework 4.8. I got the message not supported. When launchbox was downloading, it said that it was running in win 8, before launchbox is installed, it wants to install framework 4.8 as a prerequisite. So how does this happen? C-Beats
We no longer use .NET Framework for LaunchBox, if you are attempting to install any version newer than 11.2 you need to install the .NET Core 3.1 Desktop Runtime. I believe you have to be on 8.1 though if you aren't already.
ademline
51 dakika önce, C-Beats şunları söyledi: Artık LaunchBox için .NET Framework kullanmıyoruz, 11.2'den daha yeni bir versiyon yüklemeye çalışıyorsanız .NET Core 3.1 Desktop Runtime'ı yüklemeniz gerekir. 8.1'de söz vermediniz. NET core 3.1 I have installed. Still asking for 4.8. So which version should I install on this operating system? 11.2? C-Beats
I'm unsure why it would be asking you to install Framework 4.8. Current version of LaunchBox SHOULD run on 8.1 though I haven't ran into anyone using that OS in a while.
ademline
I have windows 8 pro on my computer and .net framework 4.5 is installed. I tried to install many versions of launchbox, but I always got the same error, it wants framework 4.8. How do I install launchbox on my computer? is there no other way? I don't want to install windows 8.1.
C-Beats
You will have to reach out to support@unbrokensoftware.com and ask for an 11.2 installer to get the latest version running off of .NET Framework (though you WOULD need to upgrade it to 4.8 runtimes, installer should do this for you though). .NET Core 3.1 only runs on 8.1, not 8. ademline
Thank you for your answers, but unfortunately it doesn't work I went to the site as you described and downloaded 11.2. It asks me to install 4.8 and then it automatically downloads 4.8, but it gives an error when installing, it says the operating system is not suitable. They need to solve it. When installing a program, it asks for an unsupported program as a prerequisite. amazing 😕
C-Beats
Yeah, Windows 8.0 doesn't have .NET Framework 4.8 capability. To be honest I've never heard of anyone using 8.0. Is there any reason you can't migrate to 8.1? You'll have far less compatibility issues not only with our product but several others (including anything from Microsoft). 8.0 was a pretty disastrous version of the operating system so curious why you are electing to stay on it instead of 8.1 (though I do respect it's your choice to make)
ademline
Haklısın. En kısa zamanda 8.1 kuracağım. Launchbox için değer. Yardımınız için teşekkür ederim.
