RKIRKPATRICK
Hi all, I want to make a game (call it donkey kong - dkong.zip ) default to open as an alternative (US Version 2 - dkongo.zip). I have used the "app/ set as default) and also changed the application file mapping manually and saved it. The game loads correctly in LB as long as I do not close LB. But if I exit LB, the change does not stick - it goes back to loading the original dkong.zip instead of dkongo.zip. I have this same issue with another game that keeps going back to "hidden" in LB/BB. It seems like my version keeps defaulting to an old .ini file or something? How do I fix this? Thank you so much for any helpful hints.
Retro808
Inside your \Data\Platforms folder do you have backup xaml files or alternate copies in there?

Retro808
OK. Not sure on the exact steps you did. So I tested with a couple games. MK2 for example: I have 7 version listed in the Additional Apps page. Right now my default is (Rev 3.1). So if I look in the "Launching" page it shows the path to mk2.zip. I chose Rev 2.0 (which is rom mk2r20.zip) and LB prompts me that making this selection will override some default fields. I select Yes . Now when I go back to "Launching" page the path changed from mk2.zip to mk2r20.zip. Testing this with several games even opening and closing LB several times the default will stick to the change I made. Is this what you are doing? Just want to confirm since you said you also manually change the file. What version LB are you on.
