For example, typing 'doom' into the title field and clicking 'search for metadata' only brings up the doom game from 2016. I'd like to import the original though. Typing in 'doom (1993)' brings up a lot more doom-related entries, but still not the actual game I'm looking for. Is there any way to import game metadata via an id or something? Thanks in advance! I am guessing you have added Doom to your Windows platform. If you change the platform to MS-DOS, LaunchBox scrapes the 1993 version.
