Vectrex controls in mame

Guys when I config my controls for specific games for vectrex in mame, all games change to the last controls I map.  Is there a way to save the controls without having to remap for each game.  Thanks for any help.

Mame does mapping on a General level which is your all purpose mapping and then there is the This Machine which is just that, for that specific hardware. For console and computer emulation in Mame it won't do per game controls.
