Bigbox Shutdown Screen

Hi all,

First time poster so be gentle :)

I'm currently having an issue with the shutdown screen when using BigBox. It is working perfectly for every console except N64. I am using Project 64 to emulate the N64 so I assume it is to do with the emulator itself as when I shut the games down I just get a black screen and not the shutdown screen as I do with every other system. Is there a script I need to put in place to get round this or a setting I can tweak?

I know it's a bit of a first world problem but it is driving my OCD nuts.

Thanks in advance.

I cant exactly help with this issue per se, but the way the startup/shutdown screen works is that there is a black screen during gameplay behind the emulator, when you exit the emu that black screen changes to the shutdown screen instead (at least that is my rudimentary understanding of the process). So if the black screen still shows then it sounds like Lanchbox is not aware that the emu has exited. You can go to tools/manage/emulators/project 64/startup tab and mess with the settings there, i dont use project 64 myself, so i cant specifically help with that emu.

Sorted it.

On the off chance anybody has the same issue it seems like Project 64 displays its own black screen after it has made Bigbox aware it has closed. Fixed it by changing the minimum shutdown screen time in the main options to 5 seconds.

Interesting, well glad you figured it out. :)
