"Fire Button" Not Working

Hi All... My guess is that this may likely be a ROM issue; though, I want to check as I can't find the specific issue through my searches so far.

Environment:

  • PC:  Windows 10 w/all latest patches
  • External Drive:  LaunchBox w/thousands of games and associated emulators
  • Gamepad:  X-Arcade Arcade2TV
    • Set to xinput mode (4)
    • Configured using xmapper - all buttons tested & working

We've only started with the MAME games so far and tested Asteroids, Marble Madness, Galaga, Ms. Pacman, Millipede, and Marvel vs Capcom.  We did start up a few other games but couldn't get beyond the start menu.

Issue:  In Galaga and Millipede - none of the buttons fire which means we can't play the games.

Any thoughts?

Great suggestion!  I got a pre-configured set and tried to do some rework as my ARCADE2TV doesn't have the program button for me to remap the buttons as suggested by the instructions for the pre-configured set.  My assumption is that MAME was configured to work based on the after-results of what the instructions provided for me to update the ARCADE2TV mapping.

I have a ticket open with X-Gaming as I would rather get the part to allow for the programming of the buttons on the hardware rather than have to not only fix the MAME config but also update all of the other emulator configs.

Thanks for the response and the direction.  I definitely have a path forward regardless of what I get from X-Gaming.

I absolutely LOVE LaunchBox!!!!
