Multiple instances of Mame starting

When I select a game through Big Box on my arcade cabinet, sometimes a few instances of Mame will open at the same time. Is there a Launchbox way to prevent this? I'm using Mameui64 and cannot see an option to prevent multiple instances.

If you ran the MAME Arcade Full Set Import, you'll have a running script that could be causing this.

Check inside of Tools > Manage > Emulators

Open your MAME emulator entry and go into your Running Scripts. If you've never added any scripts in here yourself, then the simplest solution would be to remove everything in there and seeing if that solves your issue.
