cant update database with correct game's name

It's about a month that I'm using launch box and I have a problem that I can't figure it out: I imported 1.500 roms from different systems without problems but for a few roms the game's name was incorrect and so I had to change the  names matching them with the correct title used by the database in order to download images and so on. No matter what I do, and I tried them all, If I change the name to a game and save it, it last only for the current session, when I close launch box e reopen it, The game's name returned to the old and incorrect name.

I tried to make the changes in various manners:

-I deleted the platform with all the games imported and re imported them from scratch, but the problems remains, a few titles are still displayed with the wrong old name.....

-I removed the games from the platform's windows  and then I imported the singles roms, nothing

-I also tried to make it work by making the changes from the audit option modifying the file , nothing

-I tried with various options to update the database, nothing

Am I missing Something????????

Every time I've heard some one report something like this they have extra files in their data folder that don't belong. Most typically these are backup files put there by Skraper and breaks your install. I'd look in your \\LaunchBox\Data\Platforms\ folder and make sure you only have one file per platform in there and nothing that says "backup" in the file name.
