Model 3 issues

Hey everyone, I finished building my gun4ir light guns and now im trying to set them up with all my games. I'm stuck trying to get SM3 to work with them and I'm also having a few non lightgun related issues.

1. I Can't get the off screen reloading to work in lost world

2. when I exit out of SM3 in lb the lb window isn't full screen( i haven't tried it in bb yet but I'm assuming it'll do the same thing)

3. I'm using a emulator that i downloaded set up to work with wiimotes which it did great ( better than the gun4ir so far). The ini file is not separated by game like the ini file I have in the sm3 emulator i downloaded from the sm3 website. I watched arcade pirates youtube video on how to set this up and the ini file he showed was different than the one i was using so I downloaded his and input my light guns into it but when I run his or the other one i downloaded from sm3 website it runs extremely fast and neither fit the screen correctly.

4. It took a while just to get the guns to be calibrated at all. they are pretty decent but not perfect. any tips on how to get them more accurate in sm3? I ran time crisis in mame and they are perfect. do I need to adjust the gun4ir gui to fit the aspect ratio of the game/emulator maybe? I didn't have to do that for time crisis for good results but maybe I will for sm3?

Some games require in game calibration. I know Jurassic Park Lost World is one of those games in SM3.

Once I did that my Gun4IRs are perfect in game.

Yea I did the in game calibration after altering the xml file like in arcade pirate tutorial and that made it playable but still not what id expect from gun4ir. thanks for the reply. I'm now trying to set up dolphin with the gun4ir and having no success so far with that either. I got a stand alone with ahk for the games and followed the tutorial that rpg electronics put on youtube with no success. I don't understand why. I'm following what they are saying exactly. If anyone knows how to set these light guns up with all the emulators/roms  and wanted to share that would be great. too bad there isn't a thread on this

What reload option did you set as default in the Gun4IR utility?

Are you running Supermodel3 emulator at the same resolution as your desktop? I find this is a Windows issue in general and the easiest option is to make sure you run at the same desktop resolution.

The Gun4IR guns should be much better than wiimotes. (I have both as well) You shouldn't use any of that software needed with the wiimotes for Gun4IR. Supermodel3 emulator has raw input support and works natively with the guns.

What revision of Supermodel3 emu are you using?

You are setting the analog components and not the digital equivalents?

Specifically in Lost World, are you using gun or analog_gun for input type? (Settings

1.Reload option in gun4ir is set to shot in the corner.

2.No, they were not the same resolution I just changed that and will test it.

3.I'm not using anything other than sm3 that I had when using the wiimotes. I'm not using the ahk for it or anything else just the emulator. I have it set to raw input. When I use a different version it plays extremely fast (unplayble)

4.I can't find the file version of sm3 but the ui is 1.1.30.1. I am using gun for input type. I am also using arcade pro utility to make sure I am inputting the correct mouse/joy numbers for the guns. the guns work with lost world they just are as accurate as when I tested them with time crisis for example. when I shoot and hit something the cross hairs are basically off the screen and I'm hitting what I'm aiming at it just doesn't seem to be as accurate as it should be

I tried to match the resolution and that just made the game unplayable. it was huge. all i could see was the bottom corner of the emulated rom. I tried sm2 and the reload off screen worked in hotd at first but after closing it and reopening it again and changing nothing it wouldn't work. I also tried virtuacop 1&2. Also something super annoying is everytime I minimize lb to go back to a folder with the roms etc. the folders are all resized tiny. anyone know why my pc is doing this?

Can you stat what hardware you are using  (especially GPU) and your desktop resolution?

You need to provide more details when you tell us what you have tried. For example "I tried to match the resolution and it made the game unplayable", which emulator specifically, how did you set resolution, what options, etc. Screenshots are very helpful as well.

Dell optiplex 7010 i5 zotac gaming gtx 1650 lp 16g ram 2tb hhd. desktop resolution is 3840x2160. Ok I'll add more details. I added the resolution of my pc ( 3840x2160)to SM3 emulator ui as custom resolution because that resolution wasn't an option in the drop down tab to change resolution in the ui. I didn't change any other options when setting resolution. Thanks for the help.
