reppin916
Hello, I seem to have run into some issues with LaunchBox possible bugs. When I have a platform video enabled (I use MAME/Arcade platform and go to import more games or use any other option besides exit LaunchBox freezes and then after a few seconds I get kicked back to the Nvidia Shield home screen. If I disable the platform video everything works normally. Another issue I have come across is when replacing background or video images through the edit metadata feature I've noticed that if I add a video or image with the same name as the one I am replacing (1942 for example) LaunchBox crashes and seems to corrupt the image or video file as well, but if the file names are different everything seems fine. There are workarounds for these issues, but I thought I would post to let people know, and possibly get a fix.
Jason Carr
Thanks @reppin916; I'll look into these issues. The Nvidia Shield as of late has been horrible because of their terrible firmware updates, so that may be part of the problem, but I'm not sure. I will say that I haven't seen any major stability issues on my own Shield TV, but who knows. Still, I'll look into the issues.
yazanabbass1112
Yes the games work fine with the cores natively from retroarch. It's an issue with Launchbox. Interesting that some are reporting it works...maybe it's something to do with my set up but I've experienced it across multiple systems.. tutuapp 9apps showbox Edited August 21, 2022 by yazanabbass1112

This doesn't seem relevant to this thread. Or maybe I'm confused, idk. Regardless, there are no known issues launching games in RetroArch. We've tested that on many different devices without any issues.
