Hi,

I have been trying to install the City Hunter 2 theme (or any other theme) and I'm running into issues. Error message keep popping up whenever I do change themes. I think I have identified the issues and it seems to be related to the Launchbox/Core/Themes folder. If I understood correctly this works as a "symbolic link" for the "real" themes folder. For me the cores/themes folder is empty and only when I copy over a theme the error messages go away.

My issue is that after exiting Launchbox the theme disappears and the error comes back. I have tried to "fix" the link between the two folders but unfortunately I did not realize that symbolic links don't work on XFAT, only NTFS.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this without having to format to NTFS and start over?

Thank you,

You would need to do the following to get the connection to work. Unfortunately it IS all manual and WILL duplicate some data (though themes tend to be pretty small in size):

1) Delete \\LaunchBox\Core\Themes if it already exists
2) Copy \\LaunchBox\Themes to \\LaunchBox\Core (copy the entire folder over)
3) Right click \\LaunchBox\Core\Themes and set the folder and all files in it to read-only

This should make it so that the themes now work. When installing a theme though you will no longer be able to use the built in Theme Manager tool by itself as you will need to download themes to both the \\LaunchBox\Themes folder and the \\LaunchBox\Core\Themes folder.

Thank you for the feedback.

That did fixed it initially, but once you shut down Big Box and open Launchbox again, it seems the the core/themes folder content just gets wiped and the issues are back.
