Gregorick
Is it possible to use the same retroarch core on launchbox for multiple platforms and is there a script to switch that system when the core loads? For example, the blueMSX core can emulate MSX, Colecovsion and Spectravideo is there a script to select the system in retroarch so that all three platforms can use the same core? I have tried searching for an answer but so far turned up nothing. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great or if it's a case of just finding separate cores for each system then so be it. You dont need any scripts, just go to Tools/manage/manage emulators/retroarch/associated platform tab and choose the core you want for the platforms. Gregorick
Apologies, I have worded this a bit confusingly. In my example, I have blueMSX set as the core for three separate platforms (MSX, Colecovision and Spectravideo) but they require a different machine type through retroarch's options to load the rom files. Is there a way to set the machine type for each platform so that they load straight from launchbox rather than having to switch the machine type in retroarch? Load a game, set the machine setting you need, then go to quick menu/Overrides and save a "content directory override" that will only apply to the folder the currently loaded rom is from, so every time a game from that rom folder is loaded the correct setting will me automatically loaded. Repeat for the other two platforms.
