MAMEset import missing "copy files to location" option in wizard?

Hi,

 

I'm a new convert from hyperspin in the process of migrating everything.  so far, so good.  i have a premium subscription and am on version 12.14.

 

I've used the "import mame arcarde fullset" option to import the mame 2.43 romset.  it has worked, but with one caveat.  unlike importing other roms, like NES or Sega Genesis, the wizard never prompts to "copy rom files to launchbox directory".  I'm wondering if there is a way to do this... specifically since the wizards does such a good job of pruning down the list of games.

long story short, what is the easiest way to get the pruned set of roms into the launchbox\games\Mame directory?

Also, during the wizard i unchecked options for creating subcategories for lightgun games and some others but they still showed up.  is there a way to remove those and the associated games?

MAME doesn't have the option to do so because depending on which set type you have determines what files need copied. Since we have no way of knowing what type of set you're importing, we don't give you an option to do something that would potentially break your setup. The easiest set type to prune is a non-merged. Once you have that you can use LaunchBox to move the ROM files to the new location and then delete anything in the old one

thank you that makes sense.  i went through and did that last night.  my OCD brain is happy now
