drbfsmd
I've run into an issue exporting games from a curated list of mame roms in launchbox. It shows 2300 games in my arcade library, but when I go to export, I only get about 1600. It got me thinking that maybe when you select a romset number to import, launchbox expects all roms to be present and when one is missing it still imports anyway? Made me wonder if my initial romset may not be complete. Not sure if anyone else has any thoughts? Thanks.

Launchbox does not look at your files it gets the working games list from the mame.exe and adds them all. If you do not have a fullset you should not be using the fullset importer, just manually add them like any other system. Also unless your romset is a "Non-Merged" one you cannot export roms like that as a lot of games will be missing files and will no longer work. drbfsmd
I did use a full non merged set. I guess my set is not complete after all.

drbfsmd
any clues as to where you got that? archive.org only has merged sets unless you want to go much older.
