RetroSalad
I have a problem. There are two arcade categories in the left hand selection bar in launchbox. Obviously I only want it to be one. I've tried right clicking the Arcade without the arrow, going to the parents tab and unchecking the root box. But once I press the "ok" button nothing happens, and if I right click and open again the root box is still checked
Whatscheiser
By your image, it looks like you have Arcade as a platform category and then Arcade appears underneath it as the actual platform. If you just want one entry you can right-click on the Arcade platform and set its parent to "Root". If the Arcade category doesn't disappear then right-click on it and delete it. Alternatively, you could rename the platform to something more specific to your collection. I believe The Arcade Category is automatically created to provide you with more nesting options. RetroSalad
I don't know what changed, but I went into launchbox again, right clicked on the Arcade platform (the one without the arrow), went to edit, and removed the check from the root, as I had already done a dozen times before, but this time it worked and now I'm back to just having one arcade category. If you did it multiple times, but it wasn't working, it sounds like you may have some bad data files inside of your LaunchBox\Data\Platforms folder. I would check inside of that folder and make sure you only have 1 file per platform, and no more.

Whatscheiser
It's not too common but I have had LaunchBox not acknowledge category and platform changes right away. When I have had this happen I don't repeat the action, I just close and re-open LaunchBox. This usually sorts it out. Sounds like you might have experienced something similar.
