KanjiEater
I love using launchbox to automate the steps for starting a game in a unified way. Mounting ISO's or changing resolutions pre-launch is a lifesaver. Unfortunately LaunchBox is pretty slow on boot. So if you want to frequently start 1 game, not browse through the entire front-end, shortcuts are more practical. It would be nice if there was a middle ground that allowed shortcuts to be created and run them with the same commands as LaunchBox as a single shortcut. RPCS3 does this exact thing very well. Even if Launchbox had to start a "headless" version to quickly run the commands, it would be faster than starting the whole GUI for a single game. 5thWolf
This seems exactly what they did in D-Fend, the DOSBox front-end. In app you can create a shortcut that pointed to a specific game. So the shortcut would launch the app then the game. I think it even attached the box cover to the icon image.
