Lordmonkus Posted February 25, 2023 Share Posted February 25, 2023 syncrefresh is v-sync, enabling it will remove screen tearing but it will also force the games to run at 60hz which in a lot of cases will make the games run faster than intended so you may end up with some unwanted side effects. Idealy what you want is a variable refresh rate display (g-sync / freesync) and turn off syncrefresh in mame, let the games run at their native speeds and have the monitor adapt to the game, this should have no tearing at all.
