Everything looks good except nothing runs...

I have downloaded and installed Mame and pulled in a few games.  Everything shows up and acts like it is all good but when I attempt to run the games the screen just flashes up and goes away.  I found the debug log option and enabled that... all I get is a bunch of messages that appear to be checking controllers and such and then it increments the played counter for said game and then logs a few more messages.  I can probably grab some lines if that helps... I'm probably too old to be attempting to make this arcade but I'm just trying a small test at this point to make sure I understand what/how all this works.

Anything more I can check?

As the prior post mentioned test the games directly in Mame (without using LB) to see if they run. If no, then that's your issue. Could be a rom issue, could be you have your roms somewhere Mame is not looking for them. Could be a few other things. It is always best to test directly in an emulator first.

If they do run directly in Mame then it is likely a LB setting.

>In LB go to >Tools >Manage >Emulators and edit Mame. Post 2 pics.

          1: Details tab.

          2: Associated Platforms tab.

>In LB right click on a game and edit. Post 2 pics.

          1: Emulation tab

          2: Launching tab.
