@Thornfist @nataliavegas You guys have the embedded controller setting enabled in Control Center (bottom left button located by the screen)? Also are you launching RetroArch, LaunchBox, or Big Box through Armory Crate or direct from windows desktop? I HAVE seen issues where once Armory crate takes focus the controller stops working on the Ally.

So I was able to get it working with NES, SNES, and MAME so far, everything works. I am launching Big Box with Armory Crate and Using Gamepad mode, the only thing that doesn't work as expected is exiting the game even though I have set up the exit to be holding select and start at the same time. The work around I found is when I want to exit a game, I change from Gamepad mode to Desktop mode, then the exit game works, I then go back to gamepad mode to select a new game. A few extra steps, but it works for me.

There are two workarounds I'd suggest.

1. In Big Box enable the "Use All Controllers" option and see if the binding works correctly then
2. In Armory Crate you can change secondary action on any button to "Close Active Window". I've never used that binding but it sounds like it may be doing the same thing we are. Could bind it and just use that instead if it works.

Yes, I have that setting enabled.  I've been launching it through Armory Crate, but I will try to do it natively and see if that makes a difference.

Hey guys,
I have a ton of issues with the controls. No matter what I try, I either get partial functionality or no functionality at all.
I'm pretty sure the source for the problem is Retroarch, and not Launchbox, since I have similar issues while launching RA directly.
I solved the B button press raising the 'press again to quit' menu by changing it in Retroarch, but I can't figure out how to disable A button pausing the game (I tried changing 'pause' setting in Hotkeys).
There are some other controls related problems in LB as well and I would greatly appreciate it if ETA or anyone else could make a video tutorial of full LB installation and settings on the Ally, since more and more people are likely to run into these issues soon.

Most control related issue's I've seen reported is by people using "auto" control mode instead of "gamepad". If pushing B is closing RetroArch you are almost certainly in desktop controls which will cause issues like what you're describing.
