MaracatuAtomico
Hello folks, I want to build my 1st Launchbox, but I have some issues/limitations/ideas to deal with. I need to have all my setup in a portable way, to move around the house to play when I am alone, with kids or friends. Other than that, I would like to have it portable to bring to my friends houses and "plug and play" on their TV's. Easy and fun I am free to start with any hardware option, so this project would have the following needs: > Emulators: Arcade (MAME), Super Nintendo (SNES) , Nintendo 64 (N64), Sega Genesis / Sega Mega Drive, Sega Master System, Sega Saturn, SNK NeoGeo; > ROOMS: I will not "Catch 'Em All!", so I think I will be under 5000 games in total; > Hardware: Portable PC, Raspberry or any other solution (and minimum specs to run); > Data storage: HD or SSD and GB size; > Controllers: 4 in total. If could be wireless, better. But what's better? Arcade, Xbox or other option? > OS: Windows or Android? Which version?; I think is that, to start. As this project moves fwd, I will update the progress here. Thanks a lot for any input, It will be really helpful.
C-Beats
You can run those systems on pretty much anything at this point. Controller's I'd stick to anything that outputs as XInput as they have way more compatibility with whatever you decide to go with. Biggest decision for you is Android box or a mini pc (or even a Android or Linux handheld you can plug into the TV). That point it's more about what interface you want to use to navigate your games.
