Recording black screen while recording gameplay with BigBox.

I've recorded gameplay in the past with Launchbox and it worked fine but i'm getting a black screen but you can still hear the sound when recording with BigBox. I've not changed anything in OBS and i can't find a solution online. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've seen this happen when the window you're trying to record is full screen (vs windowed full screen).  I don't recall if OBS has that issue or if it was a different software I saw that in.

The black screen has gone now but it's just recording where you launch the game but you can still hear the game. I've tried both. Record full screen application and record specific window. It didn't make a difference. I'm fine with switching to LB when i'm recording but i just thought i would try to figure it out on here.
