N64 Mario Kart graphics missing

Need help, I searches the forum but couldn’t find answer. When I launch Mario Kart the game menu screen is mostly blank. The same for player select. I can blindly make it to a race and sometimes other racers are there and other times I am alone on the track. Running Mupen64plus-next with angrylion plugin. Any help appreciated.

Use Simple64 https://simple64.github.io/

If you are getting graphical issues with any of the current N64 emulators check the settings of the emulator. All the current emulators should be running a game like Mark Kart without any issues.

I had the same issue and I now use project 64 and it is much better emulator if you use it as a standalone as opposed to using retroarch

Thanks for the replies. I ended up installing simple64 and the issue has resolved.
