big box menu not responding to controllers

I recently installed LaunchBox/BigBox on a PC I wanted to use as a dedicated game machine in the theater room. For some reason, BigBox menu will not respond to any controller inputs to operate the menu. Controllers work fine in games if I launch with keyboard or mouse. I've tried a few different controllers all with the same results. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Did you go into BB settings to the controller mapping section and set up the controls?
