Takken
Hello, I've been messing around with setting up Launch box for a little bit trying to setup all my games onto it. That means, in my case, that I have to manually add a lot of games. For some inexplicable reason however, after I finished gather a bunch of data for a bunch of them, I exit the program or enter Big box, and suddenly a small chunk of them will revert to what they were before adding the metadata and info to them. Anytime I would re-input the metadata and info back onto them, they would revert when I exited and reopened the program. The best solution I found, was to simply make a new manual game and reinput the same items as the old one had. After that, when exiting and reopening, I'd see that the new game has two versions of each newly added piece of metadata, (images and videos). Most likely since it just re-input the metadata from the old game onto the new one. After that, I would try to delete or mark hidden the old broken versions, but they would still revert even that. The only solution I've found to that is to just make a new platform named Broken and plop the broken versions onto there, and then marking them hidden. I think that confirms it has something to do with the platform metadata (the games I've been having problems with are on a custom platform that doesn't scrape as anything), but I have no idea since the games it breaks on it seems to be completely random,(other than it being from the custom platform, but nothing else seems consistent and not completely sure if it would affect any other manually added games not on the custom platform), and I'm not sure if it would affect any of the other manually added games I have added. I looked around for a bit and haven't really found much pertaining to my problem other than one post, but it doesn't entirely help me with my current problem so I'm asking here myself. Retro808
Can you post an image of the contents of your \Launchbox\Data\Platform folder? Usually this issue occurs when someone has backup copies or multiple versions of a platform xml file in there.

So I checked that folder and there were no duplicates or backups in there. There was just the normal platforms, the platform that was causing the issues, and the unknown one. I was sick of the issue at that point and just deleted the platform that was causing issues, but even stil they were not deleteing. Wasn't untill I deleted the unknown one as well that they finally stopped reappeaing. I think the issue was that the hard locked onto the unknown platform (having no platform) that when I tried giving a platform to one of them, they would revert to the point to the previos platform they were on, and in this case, having nothing on it. So the lesson out of this I think made it happen was setting a bunch of manual games with no platform and giving them a platform. I don't think this is entirely what happened, since I have a few manual games that I did the same thing for, just did it on a different plaform, so it might be based on if the platform is scraping off of the default platforms or not, but I kinda dought it since that seems pretty weird for a program like this. Either way, I'll post back here if it continues happening even if I don't do what I did before.
Retro808
Well honestly I cannot say what was going on as it would have been more helpful to see the image I requested. Then been able to see the contents of the data xaml for the platform you were having issues with. At least you are back and running without the issue. Yea, sorry bout that, by the time I saw your message, I've already deleted the files. So it was kinda mute at that point. Hopefully my bad explaining was enough for it not to matter too much.
