Is "Close Active Window" Safe?

I'm worried about closing emulators like Yuzu, Cemu, Dolphin, etc with the "Close Active Window" keybind in Bigbox. Is it just an alt+f4 bind essentially? I'm worried about my save files or anything like that getting screwed up instead of stopping the emulation normally. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks.

Exactly (essentially).  It doesn't a Force Close, so it's safe.
