Stevie Mac
Hi guys I'm just setting up my controls using an 8BitDo Zero 2 the small pad for my daughter. This all seems to be working fine but when I tested TMNT the Arcade version using Retroarch MAME 2003 Plus the Special attacks arn't working. Jump works, attack works but push both buttons & I get a normal attack not the mini jump with a big hit. Do I need to change something in Retroarch to get this to work? I tried this on both 2 player versions & 4 player but got the same result. Thanks

This would be done inside of RetroArch itself. 8BitDo controllers are usually pretty good, but I've never used the Zero ones. Sometimes those controllers have different modes, you may need to switch which mode you are in if that's the case.

I thought it might have been a setting that is delaying a 2 button press or something. I’ll try my other pad and see if that works then remap the Zero I guess. Pretty frustrating. I also thought you used to be able to change character on TMNT2p Arcade when you died but it’s been so long. thanks for the help mate. Stevie Mac
Ok I tried the on screen controls which worked with 2 button presses. I then went through all config start ups for the 8bitdo zero 2 Switch/D/X/Keyboard but no luck. I looked through some posts and found this which worked!!! I found it, “Input Block Timeout” under Latency in the settings menu. I set this to the max setting and it fixed the issue. So in RA do the above and set it to 4 and it fixed the problem. Hope this helps others if needed. thanks
