JerryJacobs
I'm curious if there's a method to prevent LaunchBox (LB) from automatically selecting beta or prototype versions of ROMs when a game has multiple options available during the import process. Currently, I have LB configured to default to the USA version, which works well. However, in many cases, if there's a beta or prototype version present, LB tends to choose it instead of the regular retail version, possibly due to encountering it first. Is there a way to make LB disregard these alternative versions and prioritize the retail version instead? I'm aware that manual overrides are possible, but it becomes cumbersome to do so repeatedly. C-Beats
Was thinking we already did this, will say though that region priority takes precedence (if memory serves correct). In that I mean if you're telling us to prioritize US ROMs and your US ROM is a beta, but you have a release EU ROM, we'd make the US ROM the primary because we look at region first, then the other tags second. I'll review the code to make sure my memory is serving me correctly. It's been a minute since I've looked at that section of the codebase. C-Beats
Just reviewed the code and it aligns with what I said previously. If you can provide a few examples of what you're seeing it'd help determine if the functionality was working as intended or if we have a bug.
