AirPred Posted January 31, 2024 Posted January 31, 2024 Hello everyone. Hope everyone is great. Just starting with mame on my PC and I got a nice build with Launchbox. I been trying to get good video output on my setup but everything looks choppy and boxey. I read and saw videos on how to do things. Taking the mame.ini and do certain configurations. I did that no luck. I tried a few different mame.ini files as well and I’m not getting no luck at all. I just want to get that nice crt look without the boxey mess I have now. I did look at a few articles and tried some of that stuff as well . No luck . Wondering what is wrong . Wondering if I can get some feedback or maybe someone call help. Willing to tip someone for there time . 😆😆😆is getting that frustrating for me . Please let me know. Much appreciated Quote
Galaxian Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Try searching YouTube and look for the download links. You can copy and paste the relevant section into your mame.ini 1 Quote
AirPred Posted February 14, 2024 Author Posted February 14, 2024 Hey guys. So I finally was able to get the crappy box resolution off of the video settings. I went thru Mame / tools / manage / emulators / edit / default command - line parameters / you have to erase no filter on the command line. I saved it and it looks so much better .But the new question is how to I put HLSL scan lines for it to stick on thru Launch box. This is a project . Please share insight. Im almost at the finish line. Quote
AirPred Posted February 14, 2024 Author Posted February 14, 2024 @Lordmonkus Hey bud. I tried that file . It only works if you are running games directly thru MAMEUI not thru Launchbox. it didn't work for me. Quote

I can’t comment on using the Retroarch Mame core (I know it also has shaders), but you might want to try standalone if not using it. Quote
Lordmonkus Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 It works perfectly fine for me using the official version of Mame. I can't comment on using it with MameUI. Quote
AirPred Posted February 15, 2024 Author Posted February 15, 2024 @Lordmonkus so with that file and the latest Mame (official Version). it will work thru launch box with the lines? Quote
