Launch box can't see my rom set.

Hello, I have been strugling to get launch box to see my rom set. At first it was because I downloaded the xml files rather than the actual rom set. I then learned about torrent files and how to install them, but I didn't extract all of the files (of which there were more than 40,000). I just extacted all of them using 7-zip, however, even after extracting every file in my rom set, LaunchBox still didn't recognise the files that were in the files I had just extracted. When I checked to see what kind of files they were, the file types of each of them were different with microsoft File Explorer showing the file type as a letter followed by several numbers(ie u120). I downloaded my rom set from pleasuredome, and I need help figuring out wether or not pleasuredome is a reliable source for rom sets.

You don't extract arcade roms, they need to be zipped.

Pleasuredome is not only reliable it is the best place to get Mame rom sets.

Well this is great news because that means that I don't need to look for mame rom sets anywhere else and I don't have to unzip them again, but that means that the error most likely happened when I installed the torrent file. Is there any important step to installing the torrent files using qBittorrent or should I just use a different app for the installation?

You don't "install a torrent file", you use the torrent file with a torrent client such as Qbittorrent which downloads the files. Once you have the complete Mame rom set on your hard drive in the location you want them then you use the Mame Fullset Importer in Launchbox to import them.
