Bigbox 13.12 crashes after about an hour - Possible bug

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

After a boatload of troubleshooting, I am completely stumped and have to call in for support.  BB crashes after an hour using a fresh install.  All drivers are up to date.  Windows 11 is up to date.  I have uninstalled all legacy .Net distros and currently have version 8.03.  After crash, it causes system instability.  Event Viewer complains about not enough memory available after crash.  Run -> MMC complains of vfile system error "-1073740791"  Reboot remediates all of the issues until BB is run again.  All emulators run fine, no issues there.

chkdsk has been run.  All DISM and SFC Scannow options used.  DXdiag says all is okay.  OS looks healthy and normal.  This is on 2 different PCs BTW.   Main arcade PC's logs in question attached.

Any help will be greatly appreciated and thanks for your time!

You're running out of memory attempting to load in an image file. Unfortunately can't really narrow it down from your log much more than that. I'd verify your images and make sure you don't have files abnormally large, or any 0kb files in the directory. We've seen both cause issues in the past.

Thanks for the assist!  I'll just wipe out the image directory and will report back once everything is redownloaded and running for a little while.
