Trackball not working

I can not get my trackball to work on mame games like centipede or golden tee in both launchbox or bigbox. I can however get the games to work with a trackball in regular mame

Launchbox uses regular mame too so its no different. I havent ever used a trackball but i assume its just seen like any mouse, so you can try removing the part of the commandline Launchbox sends to mame on game launch that references dinput, you will however lose access to pause screens if you go that route.

Not sure how I would do this, anybody else run into this same problem? What was the fix

I have the ini file in the root folder. Like i have said it works in  mame just not lauchbox and big box. Joystick will work on centipede only.
