Lee Kwang Soo
I got the notification that the latest update was downloaded this morning, so I attempted to install it through the LB interface. Around the time the installer started transferring the MOVE###.wav files, I got an error saying the file was corrupted. I told it to proceed anyway, and I got the same thing for the next 20 or so .wav files until I cancelled the installation. I downloaded the full patch from the LB website, replaced it in my /Updates folder, and ran it again. This time the installer didn't fail and I was able to use LaunchBox and then BigBox. Fast forward about 4 hours and I try to open LB again, but it gives me the below error message. I have since been swapping the 13.13 and 13.14 installations, but no matter what I choose or how many times I restart my PC, I can no longer use LB. Thanks for reading. Double thanks if you can help me. String 'f`lse' was not recognized as a valid Boolean. C-Beats
You got something messing with XML files that shouldn't be. If you open the files in \\LaunchBox\Data and look for the string "f`lse" (without quotes) and replace it with "false" (without quotes).
Lee Kwang Soo
I forgot to say I checked those files already. There's no "f`lse" to be found. I haven't checked the files in my Platforms and Playlists folders.
Lee Kwang Soo
Just remembered I could search them all at the same time with Notepad++. it actually was one of the platform .xml files...specifically the Sega Master System. I corrected that one single instance and it's working again. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction! C-Beats
Didn't realize it had that functionality, sounds a bit like black magic, but super useful in situations like this.
