New problem with Dosbox audio (Ubuntu 20.04)

I have been using Dosbox successfully for a few months to emulate some DOS games like Where In Europe is Carmen Sandiego - it has all worked well without any problems.

However a few days ago, I've had issues with no sound at all from Dosbox. When I start up dosbox, I get this error message:

Copyright 2002-2019 DOSBox Team, published under GNU GPL.

CONFIG:Loading primary settings from config file /home/jrong/.dosbox/dosbox-0.74-3.conf
MIXER:Got different values from SDL: freq 44100, blocksize 512
ALSA:Can't subscribe to MIDI port (65:0) nor (17:0)
MIDI:Opened device:none

I have not changed the default config file. All I've done is install the usual Ubuntu updates - could that have broken something and how can I fix this?

This forum is for the program Launchbox, it is not affiliated with dosbox in any way, in fact Launchbox doesnt even run on Linux, so i doubt you are gonna get much help with your issue here. Id try the actual dosbox forums.
