MAME Roms & CHD location inside LB or rather outside

Hi guys, I was wondering: Does LaunchBox/BigBox load faster when I place the Rom (with CHD) folder outside of the LaunchBox directory? Or doesn't this make a difference at all?

I'm asking this because I've just added the (merged) Roms and the (merged) CHD in a seperate folder (LaunchBox/Extra's/MAME) and the total package is over 1TB in filesize. So I can imagine this slows LaunchBox down if it reads through all content.

Normally I would have placed the Rom's and CHD's in the designated LaunchBox/Games/Arcade at first, but couldn't do so in this case before (but I can now by the way). What do you guys recommend?

Makes no difference. LB does not read anything when launching games to play. It sends a command line to Mame and tells it to launch the specified game.
