BermaN
Hey all, I’ve been tinkering with Launchbox for the past week or two and one I thing I’ve not been able to resolve is a way to launch Switch games whilst having updates and DLCs applied to the games. I’ve read nearly every single forum regarding this topic, yet nothing has been successful. I should add that I’m using Suyu and games launch fine through it, both when having the updates and DLCs installed via “Install files to NAND…” and by merging all files with tools like NSC_Builder into a single XCI/NSP.. with both methods having the condition that all files must live inside the games directory path (game, update and DLC). Even with the merged XCIs that should already have all 3 applied, if the update/DLC files aren’t within Suyu’s directory path, they won’t be present when the game is launched. This quickly becomes a problem when launching games through LB/BB, since the ROMs specified during the import process of Launchbox are the base games.. even in the scenario where said “base game” is the merge of all 3 files. If I place update/DLC files within the Switch games directory of Launchbox, the games just won’t start. If I don’t have the files in the directory, only the base game runs.. I’ve tested nearly every combination without success and am wondering how others have dealt with this. I’ve not tested this in Ryujinx since nearly every game tested on it runs considerably worse (for me at least). Would rather just use BigBox for all other consoles and launch Switch games via Suyu itself, although this would be far from being my ideal scenario. I’m near giving up but perhaps someone else’s wisdom may get me unstuck here… Would greatly appreciate any advice.
Layer0730
That is strange behavior, especially since you have installed the updates and DLC to the system NAND within the emulator, as that alone should be enough to ensure the application of said files when launching the base title. Are you using the most up-to-date Suyu? I don't use Suyu personally, but Yuzu did not have that behavior to my recollection. However, I moved exclusively to Ryujinx after Yuzu got DMCA'd. Have you also reached out to the developer (maybe something is broken??) Ryujinx does not install updates to a NAND and allows applying updates and DLC on a per-game basis. It is even possible to have multiple update files and select which one is preferred for the game.
BillBaileyDave
Right click, choose edit and tick the box marked HIDE. Then select the hide menu from the view menu or select the DLC/Update files and hit ctr+alt+H Edited October 12 by BillBaileyDave
Knowcontrol
Do you have Vulcan set for your global graphics in Ryujinx? Try that.
