Bsoder52
Hi all! NOOB here with launchbox yet. I'm working on a 2 pc racing build. I updated the Unified Theme to version 13.8 (current verison) on 1 of the PCs. The 2nd PC i'm trying to do the same, but when I go to manage themes in BigBox i get a message saying it can't connect to LaunchBox servers and to check my internet connection. I'm on Wifi and it has a connection verified, but doesn't want to connect. Not sure why. I'm running Windows Pro on newwer PCs with decent specs. Is there some sort of option I need to work on in the Big Box or Launchbox application to allow the connection? Or can I manually install the updated version on the PC which won't connect? Thanks for any help. Bsoder52
Retro808
There is no option you need to mess with. The connection should work as long as you have internet connection on the pc. You can simply copy the update theme folder from the pc you were able to update and paste the theme folder into the other pc.
Bsoder52
Yea it's a wierd issue. I have verified my wifi connection and can go to utube in a browser and watch content. (so I know it has an internet connect). But for the 3rd day in a row I can't connect to launchbox servers via the big box menu to download the newest version of the unified theme. Today I copied the new unified v.13 theme from the Theme folder of the 1st PC (I copied the complete folder titled "Unified & Ultrawide) and copied it over to the Launchbox:Theme folder of the 2nd PC (The one that won't connect). Restarted the 2nd machine and loaded up big box. In BigBox when I hit ESC and check the versions, 2nd PC still shows V.11. I guess I don't care so much about that as if the front end look they same and are displaying the same titles, pics, vids. Right away I see that v13 has the gamecube logo on the select scree with the aarow to choose the platform and v11 (pc#2) does not have the pic. Is there a way to go through all the pics and vids and ensure they are all loading the same? Thanks again.

I am a bit confused here you mentioned Unified and then Unified & Ultrawide with one being a v13. Unified & Ultrawide latest version is only v1.1. Both on the the forums download section for BB themes and inside BB theme manager v1.1 is the most current version for Unified & Ultrawide.
Bsoder52
Great catch! yes I'm confusing myself I think. PC#1 has "Unified" and I want have PC#2 run "Unified", but I can't get PC#2 to connect to launch box. Is there a way to tell BigBox to run "Unified" without connecting to Launchbox? Thanks so much. Retro808
Yes, as I mentioned in the first post. Just copy the Unified theme folder over to the other pc. Then open BB on that pc and set the theme to Unified. Do not copy the folder called Unified & Ultrawide that's a different theme.
Bsoder52
I can't seem to set the theme because when i click on "manage themes" it does not let me pick the theme. It gives me the prompt "can't connect to LaunchBox servers". is there another way to set the theme?
Bsoder52
I'm literally watching a utube video on my PC wifi and trying to manage the theme and it's telling me no connection. Other than manually installing the theme and pointing Big Box to load it I'm not sure what to do.

Retro808
You do not have to use Manage Themes section to set a theme. In BB setting go to >Options >Views and in the first line item change the theme. Use this option if you manually downloaded or copied a theme.
