Tufyuma
So I installed RetroArch, didn't like the interface, then installed Launchbox....launchbox see the nes controller as a Genisis something or other controler....RetroArch sees it correctly and it works as expected. I thought It was because I installed RetroArch first then Launchbox, so i wiped the machine and did a fresh Win install installed Launchbox (it installed RetroArch) and I am still getting the same issue. This is a fresh install Windows is still updating, and I have only added a few roms.... I can see where i can change some of the controller mappings (options>game controller>mappings) but I don't see an option for the A & B buttons..... is there a simple solution? I haven't tried to go into RetroArch on this install yet. Also, I have made not modifications or changed any settings, other than to import the Roms. any help would be appreciated Jim
Retro808
LB/BB does not control mapping for in game emulation. That is left to the emulator directly. The mapping section in LB/BB are only for moving around the BB UI and for control functions to exit a game while playing. So LB/BB only sees it is either an xinput, dinput, or keyboard device interface. So there is no remapping of A/B on a controller in the way Retroarch would do for the emulation cores. Tufyuma
Ok, thanks, but that doesn't explain why it worked fine in retroarch but not in Launchbox. I'll work on getting it correct in retroarch, first.
