Sarkasim Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Hi all, I am using LB Android and noticed that a handful of my Switch games aren't scraping their media. Two examples are Mario Wonder and BZZZT. Both have entries in the database for Nintendo Switch with descriptions and image files: https://gamesdb.launchbox-app.com/games/details/371985-super-mario-bros-wonder https://gamesdb.launchbox-app.com/games/details/420281-bzzzt I deleted the metadata XML file for Switch and that allowed me to connect them to their Metadata ID numbers for all the missing games, but they still come up as "no available media" when I scrape or manually browse. Beyond downloading the image files directly to my device and setting them manually - is there any other method I could use to kickstart the scraper to actually see the database's listed media? Thank you for any assistance! Quote
AstroBob Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 Hi there, Thanks for reporting this. I just gave this a quick test on my end, and it seemed to work. I added one of those games, and after linking it to the game DB entry, it was able to find all the relevant media for it. May I ask how you are trying to download the media? Are you highlighting the specific game and then trying to download the media there, or are you using the Download Missing Media option on the platform itself? If you’re using one method, does the other method work? How did you add those games to your Android library? Was it an export from the Windows version, or did you add them to Android directly? Let me know, and I’ll see if there’s anything else I can do. Quote
Sarkasim Posted January 6 Author Posted January 6 Hey! So this eventually sorted itself out but the issue was that under the metadata settings, it wasn't finding the DB entry. The search kept giving no results. When I went back the next day and tried searching the metadata game entry again, the entry was found and then I initiated "download missing media" option and the box art showed up in my collection. Not a huge deal but all I can see is that leaving the device (Retroid Pocket 5) off for the night and retrying a day later fixed it. Quote
