Guardian1676
Hello I'm currently deciding on a frontend, but I'm in a doubt, since Bigbox is too slow to start for the first time, that is, every time I start the computer, it takes approximately 45 seconds in mode Bigbox, compared to the competition that takes only 15 seconds, after that, that is, when you run it again, It only takes 5 seconds to run, my question is, Is there a way to improve runtimes for the first time? I understand that when it is executed a second time it does so faster, since a kind of cache will be saved that allows execution in a much faster time, but I would like, for example, to turn on the computer and start playing, but I feel that those 45 seconds are eternal... AstroBob
Hi @Guardian1676, thanks for the report here. We recently published a guide that walks through a bunch of troubleshooting steps to increase the performance and startup times of both LaunchBox and Big Box, you can access it below. It would be great if you could run through the steps and suggestions outlined in that guide (in particular ones that make reference to startup times), and see if that makes a difference. Keep me posted
