Can you carry the entire library on and SD card?

Hey there,

Im new to launchbox, but I am trying to find a solution to my problem.

Currently I have a Gaming PC, MiniPC, Retroid Pocket 5, and a Rog Ally X. I am looking for a solution that allows me to setup the frontend on all of these devices, but store the actual roms and game files on an SD card.

Example: Playing games from LB on my Mini PC, and then popping out the SD card and putting in the Retroid Pocket 5 so I am playing the same games with their save files.

Is this possible with LB?

Short answer is yes.

Long Answer:
You may run into issues with some features if the SD card drive isn't plugged in and you attempt to do certain things in app since it'll attempt to look for or create a folder on a drive that isn't present. You also could potentially just save LB TO the SD card and run it from there on the Windows devices. It WILL run a lot worse that way since SD card read/write speeds aren't typically as good as SDD/HDD but it's technically possible.
