Help or guide to organize games by region

I apologize if this has already been answered, I am trying to organize my games by region. For example, NES I would like to have NTSC USA and Japan as well as PAL for Europe. Is there a good way to do this? Ideally, they will be in their own separate folders so that I can configure bezels in Retroarch one time per region. Thanks so much!

Hi There, thanks for the great question.

From a folder organization perspective, you can arrange your ROMs however you like. If you prefer to place them in regional folders to utilize content directories in RetroArch, LaunchBox will still work seamlessly with this setup. You’ll just need to use the manual import wizard (Tools > Import > ROM Files) to bring them into LaunchBox.

Within LaunchBox itself, you can also create regional playlists for each platform easily:
    1.    Switch your LaunchBox view to Platform Categories.
    2.    Right-click on one of your platforms and select Auto-Generate Child Playlists.
    3.    Tick the Regions checkbox and click OK.

This will generate regional playlists for that platform.

Additionally, you can filter by region dynamically by clicking the filter icon and selecting Region, which lets you filter games on the fly without the need for static playlists.

I hope this helps! Let me know how you get on.
