hhcasey Posted January 1, 2025 Posted January 1, 2025 I'm getting this error when starting Dolphin. Any idea what isn't loaded? Quote

When you use Dolphin by itself to start a game, does it work from there? In LaunchBox, can edit your Dolphin emulator and share a screenshot of the main Details section. Quote
hhcasey Posted January 1, 2025 Author Posted January 1, 2025 Yes. Dolphin runs fine as a standalone. Quote
JoeViking245 Posted January 1, 2025 Posted January 1, 2025 Any chance you have 2 different installs of Dolphin on your system and you're testing running it stand-alone on one and via LaunchBox on another? This thread (https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-dolphin-won-t-launch-after-updating) indicates it could be your Visual C++ Redistributable may need updating. But that wouldn't make sense if you only have the one install. Quote
Solution hhcasey Posted January 1, 2025 Author Solution Posted January 1, 2025 No. I checked and there's not another install of snes9x. I did download and install the Visual C++ distributable. Honestly, I'm at a point that I'd rather use the snes9x core in retroarch. I can use both arcade buttons/joystick and an 8bitdo snes-style controller without having to reconfigure. However, it doesn't start either. It seems like there's something connected with these problems Quote

I thought we were talking about the Dolphin emulator. I can't help with this. Hopefully someone else can figure out which direction you're going and can help. Quote
hhcasey Posted January 2, 2025 Author Posted January 2, 2025 I found the problem with Dolphin from the link you gave me. It appears that I was missing a C++ Distro. Thanks for the help. Quote
