smithsa87 Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Good Evening, gents. I am having an issue getting BigBox to launch. Launch Box works fine, will play games and seems to be working but when I launch Big Box (either from launch box or independently) I get an error message and a black screen. Only way to get out is to force quit the application. Here's some info on what I am working on and what I've tried: -Windows 10 PC -Ryzen 5 -AMD Radeon RX 580 -32 Gigs of RAM -Launch Box version 13.18 -Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and same issue. -Tried uninstalling, physically deleting the remaining folder and reinstalling -Tried only importing 1 ROM vs Importing my whole library (tried various common gamming consoles to try and narrow down to the possible console issue) -Searched the forum here and on Reddit for solutions -Ensured all my drivers were up-to-date as well as windows -Moved the install folder from the default directory to somewhere else (avoided program files like the guide says) -No custom themes, does it right out of the box, tried a custom theme too. That's about it, what am I missing? I attached a screen shot of the error for refence, it seems to be a theme issue but what gets me is it does it out of the box without changing anything. I also tried removing my licensees too. - Quote
C-Beats Posted February 7 Posted February 7 That error is a XAML parse error. The theme you are using has bad XAML as is throwing errors when used. Something that's possible on custom themes but shouldn't be with Default. Quote

That's what I had gathered, people using custom themes were having this issue but not anyone using the default theme out of the box. Which I thought uninstalling and physically deleting the "left behind" folder would have fixed it but it didn't. I might try uninstalling it again and redownloading the installer again and start there and see maybe the installer was goofed up or something. Quote
