I have been getting free games on GOG through my Prime Gaming subscription, The Problem is that a lot of them get imported to an MS-DOS Platform in Launchbox and I want them all getting imported into the Windows Platform going forward. I already deleted the MS DOS Platform once and it came back as soon as new GOG Games were added through the auto import script after I acquired the games through Prime Gaming. Is there a way to stop them from being imported as MS Dos Games in the future?

Hi there,

Can you go to Tools > Manage > Storefront click the cog next to GOG select *Set Windows Import Platform* and then follow the prompt to select Windows as the import platform?

That should stomp them from being imported as DOS. Let me know if that works.

Ok Cool Thankyou, now how do I move the existing imports over to the windows platform so I can say goodbye to the dos platform?

You can simply bulk select all the games and go to Edit > Metadata, then follow the wizard to change the Platform field from MS-DOS, to Windows. It may ask if you want to move all media as well, to which you want to choose yes.

They should then appear correctly under your windows platform.

It did not work unfortunately, I deleted the DOS Platform and tried to scan storefronts again, it recreated the DOS Platform and added one of the new GOG Games I just got. EDIT: I figured it out, You have to Select the MS-DOS Platform and Change it to Import as Windows, that wasnt very obvious at first. I was choosing the Windows platform and telling it to import Windows Games as Windows Platform but you have to choose for both options in the storefront manager. Now that I have fixed that, the problem is all the GOG Games that were previously imported as DOS are gone and dont display in the Windows Platform, How do I get them to re-import?

Update: After correctly setting the GOG Storefront to Import MS-DOS Games into Windows Platform in the Storefront Manager, I deleted the MS-DOS Platform, Then Imported the GOG Games again and this time most of them Imported to Windows except 3 so it recreated the DOS Platform again and imported these 3 titles as MS-DOS... Uhg...
