Joe Jet Posted February 28 Posted February 28 (edited) Hi, I have purchased and am using bigbox for my arcade monitor setup but find it impossible to navigate menus specifically the window pop ups that require input. My arcade monitor can only do 640x480 (wells gardener d9200) and in launchbox to add or modify emulators the windows are bigger than my screen. Using Alt-space to move them lets me see the options but I can’t input info or accept “ok button” as it doesn’t have a shortcut key. So other than tabbing and guessing or hitting enter for “next” it’s really impossible to work with on an arcade monitor setup. Other than plugging in/swapping in another monitor am I missing something? I need to be able to make changes in the bigbox app, or, the windows need to rescale in launchbox or allow tabbing through options while onscreen. if not possible please take that as a suggestion to include in the future. My pc is in an enclosed cabinet and swapping inputs for a pc monitor is a bear and a setup is an always changing thing as each system takes a ton of time to tweak. Thanks so much love the product otherwise!! Edited February 28 by Joe Jet font color? Quote
C-Beats Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Yeah making something that works on such a low resolution isn't an easy task and one that would take a lot of work for a very niche number of users quite frankly. LaunchBox is entirely portable. My suggestion would be just get your build set up on another computer then once done transfer it over to the arcade machine. Be far easier for ya. Quote
Joe Jet Posted March 4 Author Posted March 4 Ok thanks for the reply. When you say it’s portable I assume that means the launchbox folder is self contained. So if I have a C drive on my Arcade setup with a large D drive for roms I need to set up launchbox on the modern pc in the same situation with a D drive for roms (same folder structure) then I can copy over my launchbox folder to my Arcade PC and just not copy my Mame folder (as it has all my custom monitor settings) correct? I just have to hope any other emulators set up on the modern pc with a large monitor are still playable after porting (resolutions over 640x480 are out of range on my monitor so I get a blank screen). thanks for the help Quote
Joe Jet Posted Friday at 04:50 AM Author Posted Friday at 04:50 AM Just a follow up, a RGB cable 1pc to two monitors didn’t help as it was the same resolution on both from the card. I was able to work around this limitation by using Remote Desktop to access the Mame Cabinet from my laptop. Quote
